Leading lawyer Anne M. Stewart, Q.C., joins Fengate Real Asset Investments

Fengate Real Asset Investments (Fengate) is pleased to announce that Anne M. Stewart, Q.C., renowned corporate, infrastructure and project finance lawyer, has joined Fengate as a consultant.

Anne will be closely engaged with the firm’s General Counsel, Heather Crawford, and multi-regional team based in Canada, the United States and Australia. Building on her extensive and highly-regarded experience acting for public and private companies, major infrastructure projects and business transactions across Canada, Anne will provide her proactive legal and business advice on mhttps://fengate.com/people/heather-crawford-ll-b-ll-m-icd-d-general-counsel/ajor project financings, contract negotiations and business arrangements.

Anne has acted on major infrastructure projects across Canada, including Sea to Sky Highway, Canada Line, Golden Ears Bridge, Port Mann Highway 1 (Gateway), Surrey Memorial Hospital, Single Room Housing and John Hart Generating Station Replacement in British Columbia, Stoney Trails (Calgary Ring Road), Alberta Schools projects, A25 and A30 Highways and Champlain Bridge in Quebec, Sault Area Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Ottawa Light Rail Transit and Waterloo Light Rail Transit in Ontario, and St. John Water in New Brunswick.

Anne was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1993. She was recently named Best Lawyers‘ 2016 Vancouver Corporate Governance Practice “Lawyer of the Year” and 2015 Project Finance Law “Lawyer of the Year” (Vancouver), and she was recently awarded “Women of Influence 2017 – Mentor” by BCBusiness and “Outstanding Leader 2016” by Women’s Infrastructure Network. Anne is recognized by an extensive roster of legal publications as a leading lawyer, including Chambers Global, Lexpert, Best Lawyers, IFLR1000 and Whos’ Who Legal amongst others. Her additional awards and recognition include the UBC Law Alumni Award of Distinction (2013), “General Corporate Award” by Lexology Client Choice Awards USA and Canada (2013), “Canada’s Top 25 Women Lawyers” by Lexpert magazine (2012), the PEAK Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Association of Women in Finance (2012), the Lexpert Zenith Award for women lawyers in business law (2009), Business in Vancouver‘s Influential Women in Business Award (2006), and Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network (2006).

Anne is active in various professional, community and charitable organizations. She is on the board of Transportation Investment Corporation and the Canadian Council for Public Private Partnerships.
