Fengate donation kicks off annual Ancaster Community Food Drive

March 1, 2021

Fengate is honoured to have kicked off the Ancaster Community Food Drive this year with a donation of $31,200. The drive supports eight organizations and our donation will be split amongst them. Click on each link to learn more about the various agencies we are supporting:

  1. Hamilton Food Share
  2. The Salvation Army
  3. Good Shepherd Centre: Venture Centre Food Bank
  4. Mission Services of Hamilton
  5. Neighbour to Neighbour
  6. Matthew’s House
  7. Wesley Urban Ministries Inc.
  8. Ancaster Community Services

The Ancaster Community Food Drive is going virtual this year from February 28 to March 6 instead of the traditional one-day door-to-door blitz of Ancaster, Ontario, homes. You can learn more and donate online at http://www.ancasterfooddrive.ca/. All donations will go towards the purchases of food. This is a time of the year when food banks are most in need of donations to stock their shelves.

Fengate is a long-time supporter of the communities where we live and work and in the fight against hunger. “At Fengate, we believe in supporting the communities where we do business. The Ancaster Food Drive is helping people who are experiencing some of the greatest needs in recent history. Our company and our team are both proud and humbled to be able to extend support through our fund at Hamilton Community Foundation, and hope that the food drive will serve to inspire others to consider how they can contribute – in any way at this critical time,” said Lou Serafini Jr.
