Fengate appoints Thomas Charnock as Managing Director, Special Opportunities

Fengate Asset Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Charnock to Managing Director, Special Opportunities. In his new role, Thomas will lead special opportunities investments and play an active role in the firm’s Investment Committee development and new product initiatives.  

Thomas has been with Fengate for nine years, in progressively senior roles across the firm’s business lines. In 2014, Thomas joined Fengate Infrastructure where he invested in renewable and public-private partnership opportunities in Canada and the United States. In 2019, Thomas joined Fengate Private Equity where he focused on growth equity and minority investments such as theScore Media and Gaming, NRStor C&I, and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Recently, Thomas has been working with Fengate Real Estate on select investment opportunities. During his time at Fengate, Thomas has managed investments across a variety of asset classes and through a range of debt, hybrid and equity investment structures.

Thomas is a CFA charterholder, holding an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a specialization in Urban Development from the University of Western Ontario.
