Matthew Tatoff
Associate Vice President, Real Estate Investments
Matthew is responsible for originating, evaluating and executing investment opportunities across Fengate’s real estate funds. Matthew also leads investment strategy, acquisition and capital recycling, capital raising, and fund management activities for Fengate’s Retirement platform. In 2024, Matthew led the acquisition of two premier senior housing properties in Vancouver marking Fengate’s first venture into the British Columbia market. Matthew has also been involved in transactions spanning hospitality, residential, student housing, and social asset classes.
Prior to joining Fengate, Matthew worked at KPMG in Toronto in transaction advisory where he provided buy-side and sell-side advice to both private equity and corporate strategic clients. Matthew was also part of KPMG’s audit practice, specializing in real estate.
Matthew is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
