Alexander Chang
Principal, Private Equity
Alex joined Fengate Private Equity in 2021 and is a Principal focused on investments in middle‑market consumer staples companies across North America. He is involved in all stages of the investment process, from origination through portfolio management. Alex currently serves as a director on the boards of Saco Foods and Sweets from the Earth.
Prior to joining Fengate, Alex worked in the M&A investment banking group at National Bank Financial in Toronto, advising financial sponsors and corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions and capital‑raising transactions across a broad range of industries. He previously worked at AltaCorp Capital (now ATB Capital Markets) and Ernst & Young.
Alex is a CFA Charterholder, a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
