Delivering Canada’s largest hospital

The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children is the largest hospital project in Canada’s history.

This 2.8 million square foot facility will replace the existing Mississauga Hospital to service the evolving healthcare needs of the surrounding community. As part of the transformation, the Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children will become Ontario’s first hospital dedicated to women's and children’s health within a general hospital setting.

These new state-of-the-art facilities will support better access to care, shorter wait times, and improved outcomes for patients. Once complete, the new hospital will provide more than 950 patient beds, expanded emergency and surgical services, advanced diagnostic imaging, a modern pharmacy and laboratory, and a new parking structure.

Fengate is the majority equity provider and part of the Trillium M Project Consortium General Partnership, led by ED+PCL Healthcare Partners, delivering the new hospital.
