Connecting Edmonton reliably and safely

Fengate co-led the public-private partnership to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain the Edmonton Valley Line LRT – Southeast line. The light rail transit (LRT) line reached first passenger service in November 2023.

The low-floor transit system runs 13 kilometers through Edmonton, connecting downtown to Mill Woods with 11 street-level stops, an elevated station with a 1,300-spot Park and Ride facility, a transit centre, four overpasses, and a cable-stayed bridge.

Our in-house asset management professionals oversee the line’s operations and maintenance on behalf of the City of Edmonton.
