Heather Crawford is responsible for advising on various matters such as legal rights, responsibilities and risks, managing legal matters, overseeing outside counsel, and general regulatory and corporate compliance matters. She has extensive experience in analyzing, structuring, negotiating and closing sophisticated transactions, as well as providing oversight and guidance on complex legal matters involving multiple parties.
Prior to joining Fengate in 2014, Heather spent nearly seven years in private practice at Torys LLP before she transitioned to the role of general counsel at Clairvest Group Inc. Heather has taught at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business at York University. She is a regular speaker and panelist at various continuing education forums.
Heather earned her B.A. at Simon Fraser University, an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge. She is also an Institute-certified Director with the Institute of Corporate Directors.
