Fengate named one of 2022’s Best Workplaces™ in Canada

April 29, 2022

Leading alternative investment manager, Fengate Asset Management (“Fengate”), is pleased to be named as one of this year’s Best Workplaces™ in Canada, a list compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute.

“We are honoured to be recognized as one of Canada’s Best WorkplacesTM, a direct reflection of our ongoing efforts to continuously grow and sustain a positive and inclusive workplace,” said Lou Serafini Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer, Fengate. “At Fengate, we recognize that the fundamental happiness of our people sincerely impacts the success of our business, and this achievement supports our mission to deliver excellent investment results while fulfilling lives through the impact of our work.”

Fengate’s ongoing commitment to cultivate a workplace that promotes Equality, Belonging, Inclusion, and Diversity (EBID) remains a key priority, ensuring that all employees feel connected, protected, and rewarded.

Fengate offers a wide range of initiatives in support of its organizational pillars, People, Excellence and Growth, including ongoing professional development opportunities, employee benefits, and activities promoting good health and a well-balanced lifestyle. Its most recent implementations of a work-flex policy and recharge days — extending long weekends to four days — help facilitate more flexibility so that employees can better balance their work-family life in a meaningful way.

“Our dedicated and creative team members relentlessly pursue innovative and valuable programs and initiatives to help further enhance our already great organization,” said Jennifer Honey Brannon, Executive Vice President, HR and Internal Operations, Fengate. “Being named as a Best WorkplaceTM reinforces our continued efforts to enrich the experience of our employees, improve overall career satisfaction, and be the best place to grow their careers.”

The competition process to be ranked on the 2022 Best Workplaces™ list is employee driven and represents multiple industries and sizes of organizations. 75 percent of each organization’s score is based on confidential employee feedback, from the globally recognized Trust Index® Survey. The remaining 25 percent is based on quality, quantity and effectiveness of the programs and policies which support their employees and corporate culture.

This study offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

This year’s list captures the experience and sentiment of 130,000 employees and impacts over 500,000 Canadian employees. The list, and related stories, will appear in a Special National Report on Friday, April 29, 2022, in The Globe and Mail.
