Providence Care Hospital Project reaches Substantial Completion
Integrated Team Solutions (“ITS”), in partnership with Infrastructure Ontario and Providence Care, announced that the Providence Care Hospital Project successfully reached substantial completion on November 30. The new hospital replaces Providence Care’s current St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital and Mental Health Services buildings. It will open with full operations and services to clients and patients in April 2017.
Located in Kingston, the new 622,000-square-foot Providence Care Hospital includes 270 private inpatient rooms, as well as modern therapy and clinic spaces for inpatients and outpatients. It is among the first hospitals in North America to fully integrate long-term mental health care with physical rehabilitation and complex care programs in the same facility.
Integrated Team Solutions, a consortium led by Fengate Capital Management Ltd. (“Fengate”) and EllisDon Corporation (“EllisDon”), was awarded the contract by Infrastructure Ontario (“IO”) and Providence Care to design, build, finance, and maintain the facilities of Providence Care Hospital in December 2013.

Providence Care was designed and built to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Silver certification, incorporating environmentally-sustainable construction practices and energy-efficient design. It incorporates the latest technology throughout the building, enhancing patient, client and family experience as well as workplace efficiency.
