Joseph DiPonio is the lead lawyer for Fengate Private Equity, overseeing all legal aspects of the team’s investment activities, including transaction execution, fundraising and portfolio oversight.

Prior to joining Fengate, Joseph was a Partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto, in the M&A group, where he acted for sponsors on buy-side transactions — public and private — across multiple industries and jurisdictions.

Joseph holds an H.B.A. from the University of Toronto, an M.A. from Simon Fraser University, and a J.D. from the Schulich School of Law (Dalhousie University). He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016.
