Fengate closes investment in Jim Pattison Out patient Care and Surgery Centre
Fengate is pleased to announce their recent investment in the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre (the “Project” ). The facility, which opened in May 2011, is a key component for Fraser Health’ s plan to improve the quality of care for residents of Surrey, British Columbia. This venture will be overseen by Fengate’s Jennifer Trost, Facility Operations Director for Western Canada, working out of the Firm’ s recently opened Vancouver office.
The Project is a 17,696 m/sq design, build, finance and maintain (DBFM) project developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. “ The project provided an opportunity to acquire a high quality asset at a competitive valuation, complementing Fengate’s work in partnership with the public sector,” said George Theodoropoulos, Managing Director, Infrastructure.
The centre offers a Breast Health Clinic, Heart and Lung Clinic and a specialization in senior care. It is the first of its kind in British Columbia with over 450 000 patients expected to be cared for annually. Not only will the patient-oriented facility provide excellent new services, it will decrease congestion at the Surrey Memorial Hospital.
“We found the perfect opportunity to expand our portolio and build a stronger presence in western Canada. The facility has the capability to really improve healthcare for the province, and we are happy to be a part of that success,” said Robert Mayhew, Vice President of Facility Management.
The Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre is in its third year of a 30-year concession period. Bouygues Energies and Services HSO Limited will be performing all of the lifecycle, hard and soft facility management services.
